Bio
There is some confusion with the middle name of John. In some Maury County publications is is "Atlas". However, his son John Jr. SSI application list his middle name as "Atlas" and then his middle name as "Atwood" in the "Delayed Birth Certificate" for his daughter Leuella. There is still uncertainty of what truly is the middle name. John is the son of William Doss FRASER and Martha FERRILL. He was one of the best known citizens of that section of Maury County, Tennessee. He was for many years a member of the Godwin Chappel Methodist Church. He served in the Confederate State of America (CSA) Army as a Private, Co. A, 48th "Voories" Tennessee Infantry. -Listed in "First Families of Maury County", 2014. ALERT! John is believed to be the grandson of John "Cuffy" Fraser and possibly Lucy ADAMS of Montgomery County. The John and Rebecca STORY that has widely been used, is incorrect. John and Rebecca Story can be found in Madrid, Missouri. (2017)
