"Maynard Heese, 97, of Lincoln, formerly of Schuyler, died Monday, November 9, 2015, in Lincoln. His wife Marjean died February 16, 2013. Lincoln resident Maynard Henry Heese, 97, formerly of Schuyler passed away November 9, 2015, at Independence House at Northview in Lincoln with his family and special friend Joan Stalder by his side. Maynard H. Heese was born April 27, 1918, in rural Dodge County on his parent’s farm, the son of William H. and Elizabeth (Beaumont) Heese. He married Marjean Wallingford in Fremont, NE. She preceded him in death. Maynard and Marjean farmed south of Dodge, NE, for 46 years until they retired and moved to Schuyler. Maynard was advanced in his farming methods using terraces and crop rotation. He received an outstanding award for his farming practices from Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Services. Maynard is survived by four children; Leslie (Irma) Heese of Michigan, Janet (Francis) Wilson of Kearney, Wesley (Terry) Heese of Florida and Candice Labenz and her friend Jim Mortensen of Schuyler; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, sister; Verjean Joiner, brother-in-law; Larry Wallingford, sister-in-law; Margaret Heese, many step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, step great-great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Arthur Heese and Kenneth Heese, sisters; Mabel Peterson and Ella Klein." Funeral Sservices for Maynard and Marjean Heese.
