Helen Willimena (Pavlicek) Petter, 87, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center. Helen was born in Snyder, Texas on April 12, 1928, the daughter of John and Willimena (Nesrsta) Pavlicek. She married Jerome W. Petter on June 26, 1951 in Fayetteville, Texas. Helen worked as a hair dresser for twenty years and also a nurse’s aide. She was a loving mother and housewife. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Annunciation #1962. She was a member in long standing with the “Pink Ladies” volunteers with St. Mark’s Medical Center. She is survived by son, Daniel Petter and wife, Rosemary, of Katy, Texas; daughter, Patricia “Patsy” Diane Petter of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren: Anneca Sarver and husband BJ, Danielle Zentic and husband Clint, and Jennifer Becerra and husband Adrian; three great grandchildren: Micheala Sarver and Noah Sarver and one on the way, Adylei Becerra; nephews: Michael Petter, James Petter, Norman Supak; nieces: Eileen Short, Shirley Shadle, Janet Corporan, Cathy Kleinham, Rosa Stidman, Evelyn Marek, and Georgia Ledkins. She was preceded in death by her parents John & Willimena (Minnie) Pavlicek; husband, Jerome W. Petter on 02/19/2000; sisters: Vlasta Supak and Anita Brown. Visitation will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family will receive and a rosary will be recited. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 539 E. Pearl St., La Grange, Texas. Burial will follow at Hostyn Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Knights of Columbus Council #2574, 739 Jefferson Street, La Grange, TX 78945 or Pink Ladies Auxiliary, c/o St. Mark’s Medical Center, One St. Mark’s Place, La Grange, TX 78945.
