Bio
Nim Golden Hall was the son of John Hall and Georgia Bell Hall. He married Jessie Ora Bateman Hall, the 1st daughter and the 1st child of John Daniel Bateman and Laura Ada Woolley Bateman. Nim's family came from Mississippi to Van Zandt Co., TX. in a covered wagon when Nim was three years old. He and Ora Bateman went to school together. They married on July 21, 1902 in Canton, TX, Van Zandt Co. Vows were said while the couple sat in a Buggy beside an Arbor next to the Community Hall where a Revival was being held. The Rev. Mr. Parnell, a Methodist Minister read the service. Nim and Ora went to Terrell, TX. from Van Zandt Co. From Terrell to Snyder, TX., then in 1926 they moved their family to Abilene, TX. Nim was always looking for something better in life for his family. He worked for the Texas Highway Dept. for 20 years. In Snyder Nim drove an oil truck. They had 6 sons and 6 daughters.
