Obituary: C J Crisp was born on May 19, 1925 in Robertson County, Texas to Felix Wiley Crisp and Willie Viola Boney Crisp. He passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at his residence at the age of 90 years. C J was a World War II Veteran serving in the US Naval Air Corp. He married Connie Lois Morris on March 9, 1946 in Bryan, Texas. Mr. Crisp was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Local 450 in Texas City for 50 years before his retirement. He also owned and operated a dump truck company and a shrimp boat company during his working years. After his retirement, he enjoyed raising cows, donkeys and dogs which became his babies. C J loved racing cars, cat fishing with trout lines, camping, traveling the United States and Canada, building and playing with air boats in his spare time. Most importantly, he loved his family dearly and they were the most special to his heart. He is survived by:Daughters: Shirley Olive and husband John, Tammy Sanders and Connie Fickle and husband Mike Son: Carl Crisp Special Friends: Tim Moore and Wayne Smith 14 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren Very special companion –Lucky He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Connie Morris Crisp; Son, Clifford Crisp; Granddaughter, Rhonda Ramin Sauer; Great Grandsons, Tyler Olive and Joel Crisp; Sisters, Dorothy Crisp and Maxine Crisp; Brothers, Jasper Crisp, L G Crisp, Artie Crisp, Charles Crisp and Billy Crisp Services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dale Wells will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home. Source: McCauley Funeral Home
