Laudenklos Parents = Louis & Albina (Hlavac) Laudenklos Obituary The Hooper Sentinel March 24, 1999 Marcella A. Peters, 78, of Fremont died Saturday, March 20, 1999 at A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. Marcella was born Nov. 14, 1920 to Louis and Albina (Hlavac) Laudenklos in rural Colfax County. She grew up in Dodge and was a 1938 graduate of Dodge High School. She taught rural schools in Dodge and Washington Counties from 1940 to 1954. After marriage, she lived at Hooper until moving to Grand Island in 1974. She came to Fremont in 1987. She had resided at the Parkview Nursing Home at Dodge for the last two years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper and the Ladies Aid; Lutheran Women Missionary League; former member of the Hooper School Board; and was a former librarian at Hooper Elementary. While living in Grand Island she worked at the former Nyster Bakery until retiring in 1982. She was married to Wilbert Peters June 18, 1944 at Hooper. He survives. Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Vickie of Spencer, Ia., and Randy and Mclanie of Elkhorn; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Iona Laudenklos of Dodge; three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Blanch Lannon of Omaha, Marie and Marvin Bartling of Fremont, Mildred and John Benetti of Clinton, Ia.; a sister-in-law, Loraine Laudenklos of Columbus, and four grandchildren, Molly and Anne Peters of Spencer, Ia., and Samantha and Cory Peters of Elkhorn. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Nick, Joe and Donald Laudenklos and sister, Margaret Hass. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 23 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper, Rev. Carl Lehmann officiated. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dick Christensen, Eldon Schulenberg, Gene Meyer, Tom Ness, Ron Stockfleth and Marlyn Moseman. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, both of Hooper.
