Rosenberg Herald, July 23, 1943: Funeral services for a little boy, Ladis Lawrence Bosak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ladis Bosak, were held Sunday, July 18th, at 2 p.m. at Damon. Ladis Lawrence was born on the 28th day of September 1935. He was baptized on the 21st day of November 1937 at the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church of Needville. His untimely death was caused by an accident. He fell from a horse and was mortally wounded last Friday around noon. He was taken to the Freeport hospital as fast as possible, but nothing could be done for him. He died shortly after midnight, July 17th, at the age of 7 years, 9 months, and 19 days. Ladis leaves to mourn his departure his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ladis Bosak; two sisters, Audrey Jean and Geneva Yvonne Bosak; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Uhyrek, Louis Bosak and Mrs. Albina Kovar, all of Damon. Interment took place in the Damon Cemetery, Rev. J. R. Vilt, pastor of the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church of Needville, officiating. The Rosenberg Funeral Home had charge of the funeral arrangements. Pallbearers were Charles Vick, Wayne Comley, Harold Crabb, Billy Cherry, Douglas Hall, and Claude Rae Glasgow. May he rest in peace and may God comfort the mourning friends.
