Bio
Veloy Fotheringham Jeppson of Riverton, UT slipped from our loving arms into the arms of our Heavenly Father surrounded by her loving family at home on Thursday, October 29, 2015 after a brave, valiant and long extended illness. She was born December 13, 1929 in Price, UT to O.K. and Helen Fotheringham of Magna, UT. Veloy was active in the LDS church and served others with all the vigor she possessed. She is a beloved grandmother of 6 children, grandmother to 33 and great-grandmother to 80. She simply loved and was irresistibly loved in return. She was a wonderful example of charity in its fullest meaning. She loved music, played the piano and had an accomplished soprano voice. She met Kenneth (Earl) Jeppson at a church dance in Magna. After a few years of courtship, their love was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 15, 1948. During her last years, while speaking with members of her family, she would often point at Earl and state, "I love him." Consequently, there is no doubt amongst her family of her deep and abiding love for her husband. She is survived by her beloved husband Earl of 67 years, her aunt Elaine Jack, her sister-in-law Ila Jean Fotheringham, her children Julie (Nevin) Graves, Vernal Jeppson, Steven (Shelly) Jeppson, Nathan (Tami) Jeppson, and Janeal (Scott) Freeman. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Orval Fotheringham, her son Kenneth Jeppson, four great-grandchildren: Alexis Parry, Cameron Birch, Launa Allred and Jayden Lindstrom. Viewing will be held on Friday, November 6th from 6-8 P.M. at Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 S. 2200 W. Riverton. A second viewing will be held Saturday, November 7th between 9:30 and 10:30 A.M. at the Herriman, UT Stake Center, 5562 W. 13680 S, Herriman, with funeral services following at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 500 N. Main, Pleasant Grove.
