Bio
Matilda Peruza West Matilda Peruza West was born on March 3 1927 in Shreveport Louisiana. Our beloved Mother went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 30, 2015. After a long illness, her journey ended under the Critical Care Hospice Nurse Team at Country Village Care Center in Angleton, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father Pete Peruza and her mother Angelina Lozica Peruza; along with her beloved husband Walter C. West of Galveston, Texas. Matilda is survived by her sister Angie Caulking; along with her niece Diane Tolley and son Christopher all from Houston Texas; along with her son and daughter in law, Brian and Raquel West of Angleton Texas; four grandchildren, Jason and wife Michelle of Arlington Va. Phillip West of Clute Texas, Ashley Vasquez West of Harlingen Texas and Nathaniel West of Harlingen Texas; along with four great grandchildren Elizabeth, Emily, Aubrielle and Elijah. She leaves behind nieces and nephews; along with her beloved Walter’s family whom she loved and cherished deeply. Tillie will be missed along with her wonderful sense of humor. She will be once again, whole and at peace. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, with Deacon David Bowman officiating. The family wishes to express a special thanks to A-Med Hospice and Country Village Care Center for their kindness, exceptional care and compassion during Tillie’s illness.
