HAROLD DAVIS December 1, 1926 ~ October 29, 2015 "The world and its desires pass away - but the man who does the will of God lives forever." I John 2:17 Harold Davis of Vancouver, Washington, left this world on October 29th, 2015. He left to accept the true reward of a faithful servant. He now spends eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Harold was born on December 1, 1926 in VanZandt County, Texas and raised and educated in Grand Saline, Texas. He graduated from Baylor University with a BA degree. Harold married Lenora Osborne on October 27, 1945. He served his country in the Coast Guard during World War II. Harold worked as an ordained minister for over 55 years, serving in Oklahoma, Texas, Washington, and Oregon. He retired after 29 years as Pastor of the Burnside Baptist Church in Portland, Oregon. Harold enjoyed studying his Bible, was a Dallas Cowboy football fan, and traveling. Most recently, he taught Senior Bible Study at Crosspointe Baptist Church and preached the afternoon service at Bridgewood Retirement Center, where he and Lenora lived (both in Vancouver, Washington). Survivors include his wife, Lenora of Vancouver, Washington; daughter, Patti (Val) Stewart of Vancouver, Washington; son, Ron (Patsy) Davis of Washougal, Washington; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Crosspointe Baptist Church, 9810 NE 76th St., Vancouver, WA. Private interment was at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
