Bio
Eva Lavonne Alexander Glover, 85, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015. A Celebration of Life service was held on Monday Oct. 26, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant with Dr. Clint Davis officiating. Lavonne was born in Talco on Sept. 11, 1930 to William Buck and Eva (Holder} Alexander. She graduated from Talco High School and continued her education at Federal Institute School of Business in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Junior Alexander; and three sisters, Ernestine Morris, Durane Stephenson, and Iva Dell Alexander. Lavonne is survived by her husband of 66 years, Frank Monroe Glover; two sons, Frank Glover, Jr. and Scott Glover; a daughter and her husband, Debra (Glover) and James McGuire; a granddaughter and husband, McCall (McGuire) and Brian Dyke, all of Mount Pleasant; a grandson and wife, Lake and Sharon McGuire of Austin; great-grandsons, Hudson, Drew, and Lincoln Dyke; a great-granddaughter, Campbell Lavonne McGuire; and a half-sister Nelda A. Connally. She and her husband owned and operated Glover Feed Mills, Inc. for 47 years. Lavonne was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was actively involved in Women's Ministry.
