Omaha World-Herald, Morning, March 7, 1935, p. 6, col. 7 & 8 ‘Lon the Barber’ Dies; Was Ill Nine Months Alonzo Brundage, 57, “Lon, the barber,” died yesterday morning at a hospital after an illness of nine months. His home was at 4366 Pacific street. A barber here for 35 years, he worked in the old Merchants hotel for 20 years, at the Paxton billiard room and at the Board of Trade building. Surviving are his wife, Agnes, and his mother, Mrs. Addie Brundage; a brother, Claude, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Patterson, of Spokane, Wash. The funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 from Gentleman mortuary, with burial in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
