Bio

Grew up in Chapman and graduated from Chapman High School in 1934. Married Ray Lilienthan on July 3, 1934, in Grand Island, living there and then moving to Laramie, Wyoming. Married Howard J. Schmidt on April 29, 1950 in New York, New York. They lived in France, Oklahoma and California, then retired in Boise, Idaho. Mr. Schmidt died in 1980 and she then moved to Grand Island in March of 1980. Survived by sons, Kenneth "Butch" Lilienthal of Grand Island and Ray Lilienthal of Greeley, Colo. 5 grandchildren; three brothers, John Lowen May of Tampa, Fla., Cloyde May of Yuma, Ariz., and Claude May of Greeleaf, Kan.; a sister, Meta Petrea Williams of Supply, N.C.; and one stepsister, Alice Mae Martin of Central City. Preceding her in death was her husband, and her twin brother, Paul W. May.
