Rhoana Lillith Tietjen Spencer, 80, of Bluewater Village, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, in Bluewater Village surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Dec. 14, 1925, in Bluewater Village to Amos Tietjen and Barbara Cluf Tietjen. Mrs. Spencer was the fifth of nine children. She contributed greatly to the community and church, serving as pianist and organist for 35 years. She was a wonderful example of love and service who will be deeply missed. Her lessons in life will be cherished and exemplified by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Spencer is survived by her children Van and Michelle Spencer of Bluewater and their five children and spouses and 11 grandchildren, Danny and Phillis Spencer of Milan and their five children and spouses, Phillip and Debbie Spencer of Bluewater and their seven children and spouses and eight grandchildren, Ray and Debbie Spencer of Bluewater and their five children and spouses and grandchildren, Steven and Kay Spencer of Bluewater and their eight children, David Spencer of Zuni Canyon and his four children and grandchild, Stanley and Darla Spencer of Bluewater and their six children, Michael and Jana Spencer of Bluewater and their five children; her son Richard Jr.'s widow Joleen Spencer and their 10 children and spouses and 24 grandchildren; her siblings Permilia Bunker of Mesa, Ariz., Amos and Beth Tietjen of Idaho, Barbara and Anthon Richardson of Mesa, Ariz., Ruth and Bob Lowery of Bluewater, Ora Manda and Wallace Sabin of Mesa, Ariz., Iris and Francis Bunker of Colorado and Ernest Tietjen of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Spencer Sr.; her son Richard Spencer Jr.; her parents Amos Tietjen and Barbara Cluf Tietjen; her sister Genjevie Hassell; two granddaughters and one great-grandson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Grants Stake Center, 1010 Bondad Ave., Grants. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Grants Stake Center with Bishop Henry Holmes officiating.
