She married Theodore Holy from Ennis on November 14, 1943. Lydia converted to the catholic religion and faithfully practiced that religion all her adult life. They first moved to Rice before coming to buy their small farm in Corsicana where they lived and built their dream home with the farm animals near them, which they both loved and grown up around, and together produced their own garden as a happy part of their marriage. Lydia loved canning and taking care of her beloved family. She served her family and community by being a PTA leader at the Collins Catholic School, served as a Cub and Boy Scout den Mother, Blue Bird Leader and as Immaculate Conception Altar Society President. Following the death of Theodore she frequently visited her son, Theodore and his family in Florida as well as her daughter, Rosemary and her family in Boerne, Texas. She had a professional life also as she worked 13 years at Collin Street Bakery and the Medical Arts Clinic for 25 years. Following that retirement she volunteered for nine years as a pink lady at Navarro Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Holy; infant son, Lawrence Holy; mother, Rozalie; father, Steve Stastny; and brothers, Joe and Steve Stastny. Survivors include her son, Theodore S. Holy and wife Barbara, of Florida; daughter, Rosemary Holy Fisher and husband, William F.
