In Memoriam GERALDINE "DEAN" BARNETT August 26, 1925 ~ July 13, 2010 Geraldine "Dean" (Dunham) Barnett, was born Aug. 26, 1925, in Rattan, the daughter of Thomas J. Dunham and Emma Elizabeth (Sutton) Dunham. She passed this life on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at her home in Valliant. She and Jack Barnett were married June 23, 1943, at Belzoni, Okla., and had lived in the Valliant area all of her life. Dean was a homemaker, worked in retail and was a caregiver later in her life. Dean loved to cook, bake and do embroidering work. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dean was a member of the Church of Christ and "Senior for Seniors" in Valliant. Dean was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, of 48 years, her parents, a great granddaughter, Kayla Henry, seven brothers and three sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Dr. Jim Barnett of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Jimm and Jackie Jacobs of Valliant; grandson and wife, Jason and Kim Brown; granddaughter and husband, Kelly and Bryan Tomlinson of Shawnee; granddaughter Karla Gunn of Oklahoma City; twin sister and husband, Gerrine and Ray Hicks, Piedmont; grandchildren, Brian Henry, Madison McBrayer, Jessika Reece and husband John, Samantha Gunn, Jason Brown Jr., Mitchell Brown and Hudson Brown; a great-granddaughter, Annistyn Henry; and a very special family friend, Eric Langhirt; along with a host of other family and friends. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 16, 2010, from 6-7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel, Valliant, with the Rev.
