M.J. Gann, 100 of Gilmer, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 in Gilmer. He was born on August 20, 1915 in Gilmer to Marion Stephenson and Minnie Monroe Gann. Mr. Gann was an operator at Lone Star Steel, and a member of New Life Assembly of God in Ore City. He is survived by his sons, M.S. Gann and wife Ellen, Jerry Gann and wife Vicki; daughter, Joye Cooper and husband Randy; daughter in law Cora Gann; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Gann was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gearldean Gann; son, Billy Hugh Gann; and granddaughter, Susan Pinson.
