UPDATED: 1 Mar 2017 "Atsy" has alternate spellings. It appears that the name came from James West's mother. "Kate" is a common nickname that substitutes for longer names. "Kate" is the name that I saw in the cemetery records. "Katie" is the name I saw on a life insurance claim involving this daughter of James West and Julia "Senie" Lewis West. The life claim also included the birth date and death date that I have included with this virtual memorial. Katie is buried a few plots away from her older sister, Ida West Derryberry, who is buried near her husband (Allen Derryberry) and a son (John Derryberry).
