Bio

Reba Whitley , 83, of Quitman, passed away on October 7, 2015 at her residence. She was born on June 17, 1932 to William and Queen Easter (Beech) Jamison in Moselle, MS. She was a precious mother and grandmother and was a role model on how to be a mother and faithful servant of our Lord, friend and gentle spirit. May she rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father and be at peace forever. Reba is survived by her son, Wayne (Teresa) Whitley; daughters, Rebecca (Steve) Watkins and Rita (Robert) Stanley; adopted daughter, Jacinta Stallings; grandchildren, Kevin, Kelli, Wes, Adam, Kratin, Jonathan, Gage, Drew, Bryce, Hanna, Justin, Ashlea, Phillip, Caleb, Casey, Pam, Lori, and Haven; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Ava, Dalton, Emily, Kaitlyn, Andie Brooke, Hannah Claire, Sydney Grace, Lakelynn, Kyndall, Presley, Swayze, Audrey, Brett, Shelby, Thomas, Tillon, Kaylei and T.J.. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. C. Whitley and son, John Edward Whitley. Visitation will be held Friday, October 9, 2015, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on October 9, 2015 at 3:00 at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Coats and Rev. Bud Swindall officiating. Burial will take place in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery (Ellisville, MS) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Phillip Johnson, Justin Mars, Kevin Mathis, Caleb Stallings, Andrew Watkins and Gage Watkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leroy Sisson, James Fagan, Deacon Fuller, Phill Fuller, Dawson Ivey, James Johnson, Mickey Long, Chris Sanders, Richard Sanders, James Thaggard and Wiley (Shorty) Williamson.
