Bio

Virgil Roy Bullard, 89, of Greenville, formerly of Pittsburg, Texas, died Aug. 8, 2015, at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m today at Piney Grove Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jay Sikes will officiate. Interment will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time today at the church. Mr. Bullard was born in Seagraves, Texas, on June 9, 1926. He was the son of John Bullard and Mamie Conner Bullard. He married Juanita Faye Nelson on April 27, 1946, in Pittsburg. He was retired from Continental Emsco in Garland, and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Donald Ray Bullard and wife, Kathy; brother, Andrew Bullard; sisters, Doris Smith, Juanita Dikes and Mary Frances Nicholson; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2010. Pallbearers will be Lance Banks, Jeff Maack, Terry Wooten, Rodney Spradling, Dak Guyton and Kyle Thomason.
