Kracl Funeral Chapel Saturday 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the church MEMORIALS First Presbyterian Church COMMITTAL Schuyler Cemetery LUNCH Church Fellowship Hall Lambert Maca, 91, of Schuyler, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln. Lambert J. Maca was born August 11, 1924, in Rogers, Nebraska to John J .and Tillie(Krejci) Maca. He received his education at District #49 and graduated from Schuyler High School. Lambert was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and later joined First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler. On September 4, 1952, he married Angeline Novotny at the church in Schuyler. They lived and farmed northeast of Schuyler and retired to Schuyler. Lambert is survived by his wife, Angie of Schuyler, a daughter, Jacqueline(Jeff) Hopkins, Schuyler, three grandchildren:Brenton(Sara) Hopkins of Schuyler, Ashlee Hopkins of Napa Valley and Tiffany Hopkins of San Francisco, three great-grandchildren:Riley, Collin and Hallie Hopkins, sister-in-law, Marcella Maca, Schuyler and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Maca. Lambert was very committed to service in the community. He was a Charter Member of the Colfax County Feeders Association, Schuyler Coop, Colfax County Planning and Zoning,Colfax/Platte Pork Producers, and Nebraska Soybean Association. He was also a member and served as Chairman of many other organizations including Schuyler Memorial Hospital, Colfax County Extension, Director Schuyler State Bank, County Election Board, Schuyler Chamber of Commerce, Nebraska Corn Growers and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Tangier Shrine in Schuyler. Lambert was honored as Outstanding Young Farmer(1960) by the JC's, the 2008 LENRD Soil Conservation Award from the Lower Elkhorn National Resources District and the 2010 Nebraska Conservation Award."
