Joyce Fonseca, age 89, of West Milton, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at SpringMeade Health Center. She was born February 6, 1930 to the late Charles & Mildred (McConnel) Ducker in Ft. Morgan, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jess Fonseca; grandson Luke Buffum and brothers Bernard and Charles Ducker. She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Lonny (Candy) Vietz of West Milton, Gene (Monica) Buffum of Rockport, IN, Barbara (Wayne) Boris of Union, and Marla (Steve) Corsi of Marysville, WA; stepson Jess Fonseca Jr of Nevada; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and sister Shirley Fleming of Charleston, AR. Joyce was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW Women’s Auxiliaries. She loved watching sports on TV, especially women’s sports, and playing bingo. The family will receive friends from 10 AM- 12 PM on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of SpringMeade and Miami County Hospice for their excellent care of Joyce.
