Bio
The Ponec Family Tree was started in 1978 by the brother of Walter Ponec, his mother and three other Ponecs. Both of Walter's parents were born in the United States, and most likely would not have used a Czech version of a name for their child. Walter translates to Valtr in Czech. He had an uncle with the middle name of Walter; and a first cousin that was born after the baby died that carried on his name, Walter. The Catholic Cemetery records are under Walter Godfrey. The tombstone, for whatever reason has the name Vladimir. I have altered the name of this child for this purpose to be Vladimir-Walter.
