Bio

Naomi Jane Edwards Johnston was born January 23, 1922 in Athens, Texas, to Richard Foster and Fanny Blanche Castleberry Edwards. Naomi was raised in Brownsboro, Texas, where she graduated from high school. She married Weston Clark Johnston in 1939 and they celebrated 45 years of marriage until he preceded her in death in 1984. A homemaker, Naomi was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church where she was active in the Lou Ray Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women. Mrs. Johnston enjoyed working in her flower garden, chocolate, and spending time with her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Phillip Johnston; daughter, Pam Worthington and brother, Farrell Frazier Edwards. Obit inf from Hawthorn Funeral Home.
