YOAKUM: Georgie Okruhlik, age 87, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015. She was born July 21, 1928 in Moravia to the late Julius and Mary Svetlik Heiman. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Altar Society and KJZT. Survivors are her daughters, Donella “Toots” Garton and husband Daryl of Bessemer, Alabama and Sharon Wenske of Yoakum; five grandchildren, Brian Wenske, Brad Wenske, Brooke Wenske Robinson, Allison Garton Adams and Christopher Garton; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Andrew, Cole and Tayt Wenske, Hailey, Kinsley and Peyton Robinson and Ella Duncan Adams; sister, Dorothy Kristynik. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Okruhlik; son-in-law, Dennis Wenske. Rosary 7 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 11 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
