Bio

After a painful battle with cancer, Alice Taisler is now pain free and untied with her father, Felix Hecl (1959), her mother, Tracy Gilliam (2013), and her daughter, Cheryl Baker (2002). Alice was born February 7, 1938, in Jerrell, the only child of Felix and Tracy. She attended Bartlett grade school as well as SSC&M Catholic School and Durham Business College. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her husband, Ben; and three sons and their families, Gary (Ann) and DelDe, Warren (Sandra), Jenna and Abby Travis (Anita), Brandy and Regan; also many grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Providence Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, at Providence Funeral Home. Per her wishes, cremation and graveside services at Holy Cross in Granger at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 15.
