Bio
Neal Francis Harrison, 72, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Sunday February, 16, 2014. Neal was born in Beaumont, Texas on December 19, 1941 to Everett and Edythe (Parma) Harrison. He grew up in Ennis, Texas and graduated from St. John High School in 1959. He went on to attend St. Edward's University and received his BSED. On January 26, 1963 he married Charlene Kubelka. During their married life they lived in Austin, Shiner and made their home in Farmers Branch. He worked for Jesuit High School as an English teacher and Assistant Principal, for Toyota of Irving and North Central Ford as a sales manager, for Collinsville ISD as a teacher and principal and for the Tioga ISD and Marathon ISD as Superintendent. In all he dedicated thirty-seven years of his life to teaching and working with young students in various capacities. He is survived by three sons: Erik G. Harrison and his wife Lisa of Austin, Rafe C. Harrison and his wife, Ilka of Bretten, Germany, and Elliot N. Harrison of Los Angeles, CA; two grandchildren: Robert and Lavilia; two brothers: David Harrison and Dane Harrison along with four sisters: Paulette Prokop, Joan Test, Therese Dempsey and Marian Kissick. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father Henry Drozd as celebrant.
