Thanks to Contributor Kay Cynova, #47064119, for the following information: Married to William Jeffrey on 3 Feb 1880 as recorded in Hall County, NE Marriage Book 1, page # 480. Her parents were listed as John Gordon and Isabelle Welch. ~~~~~~~~~~ From the St. Paul Republican, April 6, 1905, page 8, transcribed by Linda Berney, from the North Posen news column: Died, on Tuesday, March 28 Mary J., wife of William Jeffery, at her home two miles east of Ashton, from a complication of diseases. Mrs. Jeffery was born in 1847 in Farmanagh county, Ireland. Her maiden name was Gordon. She was married to William Jeffery in 1880 at Grand Island. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Ashton. She had been in poor health for some time, but being very energetic, she would not give up until compelled to and was confined to her bed only a few days before death. She leaves besides her husband one sister, Mrs. John Irvine, who resides south of Farwell. The funeral was conducted from the Farwell church and the remains laid to rest in the Scotia (sic) cemetery south of Farwell, where her mother was buried some years ago.
