Gravesite details

ALL markers need best possible photos. Obviously no attempt was made HERE. This photo shows the photographers lack of respect for the marker, the deceased, other people and Find a Grave. He got what he wanted. His numbers increased. THATS BAD & SAD.

Message: Lisa, I have been on here for 19 years · 4 months · 29 days. I'm 84 years old. I have never written anything like that before. Had I had more space it may have been even worse. I would agree with you except for one thing. This was for the INSCRIPTION. The INSCRIPTION is not but could have easily been MADE readable. This photographer, John Bird; #48566150 could not even show enough respect to be bothered to scrape his foot across the marker. Same with their infant son's. There was absolutely no reason to take that small marker at that angle. Take a GOOD look at those markers. Check out some of his others. He's added 18,601 Photos. IF they are this quality he certainly hasn't done anyone any favors. I checked his profile and saw this: Retired aerial photographer but still taking photos! He may have been an excellent aerial photographer, but on the ground, taking readable tombstones and the tombstone photos are NOT readable is BAD! Consider this, If he had just used something and brushed off the marker and I do mean the entire marker, or at least cropped to have everything and both sides equal and photographed the entire thing would I have a complaint? No. I don't think so. I'm a terrible photographer. I really admire people who can and do take decent photos. Any photograph I've added someone has given to, or allowed me to use. After I have the photo I'm fine. I totally understand not all markers take good photos. Those that can SHOULD. Bad tombstones do the best photo possible. Graves with no tombstones the same. WHY? When terrible tombstone photos of good readable tombstones are added, they take up space often needed for good photos. It may be assumed because they have a photo, they don't need another. Then, if the tombstone photos already there are better than the ones they want to add.... PLEASE DON'T ADD THEM. If it's a double or more tombstone, PLEASE add the entire tombstone photo. Some can be cropped as long as everything except the plain edges still show. THANK YOU LISA FOR TRANSFERRING THEIR MEMORIALS TO ME. https://blog.billiongraves.com/do-your-ancestors-have-mail-order-tombstones-from-sears/ Marie Orlena 'Marie' (Jenkins) Bryant Maintained by: Orlena; #46627566.
