Obituary, The Corydon Democrat, Coryddon, Harrison County, Indiana Evelyn C. Crecelius Evelyn C. Crecelius, 84, Corydon, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2015, at The Willows assisted living facility near Corydon. Born Dec. 2, 1930, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth Curts Hannel. She was homemaker and a member of Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Crecelius; a brother, George Hannel; and a sister, Kathleen Lane. Survivors include a brother, Earl Hannel of Bismarck, N.D.; two sisters, Wilma Luther of Laconia and Lois Lowe of Corydon; and her caregivers, Ralph and Lucille Jackson of Corydon. Visitation: Monday, Aug. 31, from noon to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 1, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Funeral: Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery Corydon. Officiant: The Rev. Robert Shepherd. Pallbearers: Dale Lopp, Scott and Wyatt Dayvault, Gerald Lowe Sr., Gerald Lowe Jr. and Wayne Luther. Honorary pallbearer: George Hannel Jr. The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.
