Lena Winkler, 94, of Waco, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015, in El Paso. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, August 31, at St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. John Guzaldo as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Martins Cemetery in Tours. The Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday, August 30, with visitation to follow until 8 p.m., at OakCrest Funeral Home. Parents: the late Joseph and Frances Michalewicz Married: Chris Winkler Date Married: September 2, 1946 Preceded in death by: her youngest daughter, Sharon; brothers, Otto Michalewicz and John Michalewicz; and sisters, Agnes Buxkemper and Mary Buxkemper Survived by: her daughter, Sandra Oxner and husband, Jerry, of El Paso; grandson, Gary Oxner and wife, Michelle, of Houston; great-grandson Zach Oxner, of Houston; brother, Albert Michalewicz; sister, Annie Caldwell; sisters-in-law, Christine Fryer and husband, Roland, and Doris Winkler, of Waco; and many nieces and nephews Waco Tribune-Herald: 8/28/2015
