San Antonio Express San Antonio, Texas, Wednesday, March 26, 1975 p39 col 4 MATTHEWS Mrs. Mamie L. Matthews, widow of the late Joseph A. Matthews, died March 23 in Madison, Tenn. Resident of San Antonio 50 years and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Matthews was born and raised Columbia, Tenn. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including locally, Mr. Kenneth C. Lovell and Mrs. W. R. (Mary Ann) Riggle. Services 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, Sunset Funeral Chapels, Rev. G. Wendall Crowfoot officiatiing. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 25. Note: While her obit states she was born and raised in Columbia, Maury, TN, her parents were listed in District 14, Giles County in 1880 and still there in 1900, so it would appear that that part of her obit is incorrect.
