Bio

Anita M. Biver, 94, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Arlington Chapel. Anita was born July 28, 1921. She was the last of a family of 10 brothers and sisters born to William Ward and Marietta Hampton. She was always employed to help provide for her family until her retirement at age 65. She was actually a "Rosie the Riveter" for Temco-Vought in Grand Prairie during World War II. She was very good at math and became a bookkeeper. She loved to read romance novels and work crossword puzzles. She also loved cats and always had at least one around. She was active in the Arlington and Burleson Widowed Persons Service, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Ladies Auxiliary Military Order of the Purple Heart, Webb Chapter No. 1140 Order of the Eastern Star and was a volunteer at the Fort Worth VA Hospital. She participated in a weekly bowling league and went dancing as often as possible. Because of these she has a long list of great friends. She was married to three World War II veterans, O.W. Paris, Luther Uselton and Joe Biver, all of whom have passed away, and had a 14-year relationship with Sam Burns, also a World War II veteran, who passed in January 2014. She lost her beloved daughter, Glenda Jayne, in March of this year. Survivors: Sons, James "Gaylon" Uselton and Gregory Uselton; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and counting; and many nephews and nieces and their children and grandchildren.
