Obituary From Ottumwa Courier , Monday, December 23, 1974, Page 4: Alice Anderson, 70, of 1403 Asbury died Saturday at 2:15 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital. She had been ill several months. She was born Nov. 4, 1904, in Higbee, Mo., to Thomas and Lida Lloyd Longdon. She was a resident of Ottumwa most of her life. Surviving are one daughter, Lucille Roberts of Higbee, Mo.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two half-sisters, Tina Murray of Leavenworth, Kan., and Etta Armbruster of Ottumwa; two sisters, Vera Early of Mexico, Mo., and Reca May Gibson of Denver, Colo.; and two brothers, Cecil and Ervin Longdon, both of Clear Lake. She was preceded in death by two half-brothers. The service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jay Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Cowell Jr. of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
