Bio
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother on Aug. 14, 2015. Mary Margaret Sealey Knepper was born on Nov. 7, 1930 in Dundee, Oregon to Lester A. Sealey and Martha A. Noack Sealey. She was born on their farm and delivered by a midwife which was her cousin. After the birth of her brother Charles they moved to Salem. She attended Bush, Leslie and Salem High which is now North Salem. While working at United Growers Cannery she met her husband Lee. She married Lee R. Knepper on Feb 14, 1950. Her first child was a daughter Katherine born in Oct. 1950 and her second child a son Kenneth born in May 1952. She was a housewife. Her hobbies were embroidery, gardening, reading, baking, canning, and doing puzzles. She belonged to the Keizer Eagles where she received the Grandmothers pin. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles Sealey and half-brothers Roy and Harold Sealey. She is survived by her daughter Katherine Barnes of Salem, Kenneth Connie Knepper of Tualatin, grandchildren Julie Justyn Curry of Salem, Craig Barnes of Salem, Kyle Krystle Knepper of Tigard, Anne Marie Chris Sjoblom of Eugene and four great grandchildren Kadyn and Koltyn Curry and Sadie and Easton Knepper. Special thanks to Arlene her friend and neighbor for all her kindness. Thank you to the Cedar Village Staff and Willamette Valley Hospice during her illness. Grave side service will be at City View Cemetery on Monday August 24, at 3:30 pm. Assisting is Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
