Bio

Louis Joe Kocurek Jr., born December 11, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2006. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Boerne. Louis was an active member of the Kiwanis Club for over fifty years, and with QCWA as a Ham Radio Operator for over fifty years (W5VIV). He was active with the Sacred Heart Family Guild, and a former member of the San Antonio Country Club, the German Club, the Safari Club International and the NRA. He was an active benefactor for many charities including Boysville, San Antonio Zoological Society, and the Witte Museum. Louis graduated from Central Catholic High School, attended the University of Texas and St. Mary's University. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Louis was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Terrazas Kocurek; his parents, Louis and Millie Matcek Kocurek and his brother, David Carl Kocurek. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jungman Kocurek of Boerne, Texas; children: Triple Kocurek and wife, Leslie of Medina, Texas; Terry Kocurek, M.D. of Galveston, Texas; Kris Kocurek of Maxwell, Texas; John Kocurek and wife, Michelle; Tricia Kocurek; stepdaughters, Laura Rader and Lynda Sanchez and husband, Mark all of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren: Dyana Padgett, Elizabeth Caraballo and husband, Ryan, Chase, Tory, and Colton Kocurek, Carson and Tucker Kocurek; stepgrandchildren, Nikki and Thomas Rader; Drew and Mark Sanchez; siblings, Richard Kocurek, Mary Ann Kocurek, Thomas Kocurek; sister-in-law, Sharon Martin Kocurek; great granddaughters: Allyson Caraballo and Sarah-Lynn Padgett; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
