Mrs. Nancy Cottle Rites Held in Harper Tuesday Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 19, at 3 p. m. for Mrs. Nancy Catherine Cottle, nee Nancy Truss, in the Harper Methodist Church with the Rev. J. D. Farmer and Rev. B. E. Breihan of Kerrville, officiating. Interment was in the Harper Cemetery. Mrs. Cottle died on Monday Feb. 18, in a Fredericksburg hospital. On the previous Friday she broke her hip in a fall at her home and was brought here for hospitalization. Born on Sept. 11, 1868 in Bastrop county, she had attained the age of 83 years, 5 months and 7 days at the time of her death. She was married to John T. Cottle on Dec. 24, 1885. Survivors include the following children: V. A. Cottle, Harper; Raymond Cottle, Harper; Mrs. Zelma Little, Harper; Roy Cottle, Rocksprings; Mrs. Frank Staudt, Harper; Mamie, Mrs. Gilbert Pape, Rocksprings; and Mrs. Marie Taylor, Harper. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. J. R. Smart, Menard; and a half-brother, Wallace Mains, Harper. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1912; and a son, Floyd, who died at the age of 9.
