Eric Arden Jakeman VETERAN | US ARMY 1944 - 2015 Early Life: Eric was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 22, 1944, to Glen Linden and Leona Marie Erickson Jakeman. The family resided in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Life's Work | Service | Interests: Following graduation from Pleasant Grove schools he served as a paratrooper in the United States Army. Upon returning from military service, he married Patricia Boltz and together had two daughters, Jolene and Kristin. They later divorced. He later met his longtime partner Ada Lynette Young; they have spent many wonderful years together. He resided in Layton, Utah, and worked for Hill Air Force Base. After retirement, he made his home in Tremonton, Utah. He loved sports, the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Eric was a fierce competitor with a passion for life in all he did. Eric Arden Jakeman, of Tremonton, Utah, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2015, due to complications following a stroke. He was 71. Family Message: "We will miss his calm demeanor and his witty sense of humor." Survived By: His companion, Ada; his children: Jolene Jakeman and Kristin Jakeman; the granddaughter that he so adored: Kaitlin Jakeman; two stepstons: Alan Young and Brandon (Jody) Young; eight step grandchildren and and a step great-grandchild.
