Bio

Paul C. Smith was really Paul C. Moss, with his father being Grady Henry Moss. Paul was born APRIL 6, 1918 then Grady Sr died NOV 18, 1918. Grady Sr., wife, Eulah Wright Moss is listed with her father on the 1920 census as widowed but with no children. Where the boys were is not known but by 1930, she is remarried to Hudson Smith and the two boys are listed as SMITHs and will be known as SMITHs for the rest of their lives (information courtesy Helen L. Smith) STEPHENVILLE-Paul Coffey Smith, a retired dry cleaner, died Monday at a Temple hospital. He was 74. Funeral will be at 2 m today at St Lukes Episcopal Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in West End Cemetery in Stephenville, TX. Stephenville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr Smith was born in Hico, TX and was a lifelong resident of Erath Co, TX. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foriegn Wars and the Tejas Club Golf Association. Survivors are wife, Opal Smith of Stephenville, TX; and daughter, Bonnie Blu Shaffer of Dallas, TX. Fort Worth Star-Telegram-Thursday, June 4, 1992
