Bio
Esther Tousey, age 94, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at her home at the Appleton Retirement Community on Friday, February 8, 2013. Esther was born in Kaukauna on July 18, 1918 to the late William and Martha (Green) Weyenberg. She worked at the Zwicker Knitting Mill for many years. Esther also worked in the deli at Austins and worked for the hot lunch program at St. Pius for many years. She will be sadly missed by her granddaughters: Stacey (Scott) Blouin, GA and their children Hunter Felix and Ashley and Kyle Blouin, and Sara (Steve) Emmer, Wrightstown and their children Caleb and Saige; niece, Peggy (David) Oberhofer, Milwaukee and their children: Megan Patel and Molly Mc Cloud; nephew, William Christen, Appleton and sister-in-law Wanda Glasenapp, Waupaca. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Susan Angell, first husband Kenneth Christen, second husband Art Tousey, and sister Shirley (Bob) Golden. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, February 16, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W Marquette St., Appleton, with Father Tom Farrell officiating. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 10 am until the time of mass. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. A special thank you to Southern Care Hospice for their wonderful care of Esther.
