Otilie Fahrenholz, 82, Norfolk, died Sept. 12, 1945 at the home of her daughter, Goldie Lamson. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Home for Funerals by the Rev. M.A. Jensen, pastor of St. Johns Lutheran church. Mrs. Fahrenholz, whose maiden name was Otilie Waldow, was born Oct. 27, 1862, in West Prussia, Germany. She came to America with her parents in 1866, the family locating in West Point. She was married there in 1886 to Herman Fahrenholz and to them eight sons and daughters were born, a son and a daughter dying in childhood. Mr. and Mrs. Fahrenholz lived on a farm near Bancroft until 1909, when they moved to a farm six and one half miles from Norfolk. Mr Fahrenholz died in the spring of 1929 following which she moved to Stanton and made her home with her son, Clyde. She remained there until 1942 when she moved to Norfolk to live with her daughter, Mrs. Lamson. Surviving are five sons and a daughter, Mrs. Lamson, Ervin, Pender, Leon, Chambers, Martin, Bassett, Earl, Eagle Bend, Minn., and Clyde, Stanton; seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Burial was made in Prospect cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Herman Bernstrauch, Ed Wledeman, Relhold Melcher, August Grimm, Martin Lehman and Louis Belz.
