Bio

Patricia A. Danekas, age 81 years, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born on March 17, 1934, the daughter of William and Loretta (Holland) Borgmann on a farm near Emerald, Nebraska. Pat attended Zion Lutheran Church in Emerald and also attended Pleasant Dale High School. She was united in marriage to Dale Danekas on December 10, 1950, and resided in Lincoln prior to moving to the farm near Dorchester in the late 1950’s, and lived there until moving to Crete in 2007. Pat was a member of WMB, “We Mean Business” Extension Club and the Dorchester Auxillary. She loved her antiques, flowers, garage sales and auctions. Most of all, she loved her family. Pat will be dearly missed by: her sister, Violet Allen; daughter, Susan Danekas; sons, Wayne Danekas, Kevin Danekas and wife Sally, and daughter, Nancy Pohl and husband Scott; ten grandchildren, Gina Timmerman, Trenton Brown, Mandy Soper, Ryan Danekas, Jessie Wagenknecht, Becky Kaelin, Sarah Dickey, Casey Pohl, Whitney Danekas and Derek Pohl; 19 great grandchildren; and many family and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, William and Loretta (Holland) Borgmann; husband, Dale; brothers, Don, Paul, Bill and Charles Borgmann; sisters, Genevere Sutton and Joy Rezac; and great granddaughter, Gracie Kaelin. Funeral services on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 1 Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete, Nebraska. Interment at West Blue Cemetery. Obituary information from Kuncl Funeral Home website ~ August 8, 2015.
