Bio

Sarah was born in KY on 28 March 1849 to Ezekiel "Zeka" Anderson and Lucinda McFarland (McFarlan). Her mother, Lucinda "Cinda" passed away in Sept. 1849 and is listed in the 1850 Whitley Co., KY Mortality Schedule. Ezekiel then remarried in 1850 to Caroline Jane Stansbury Morris, a widow with children. They are listed as a family with his children and her children in the 1850 Laurel Co., KY census. In 1851, Ezekiel & Caroline "Jane" had a child together, Effy/Effie R. Anderson. By the 1860 census, this family appears in Greene Co., IN where Ezekiel's parents and the majority of his siblings have relocated. The 1870 census shows Ezekiel & "Jane" in Richland Twp., Decatur Co., Iowa. Some of each of their children have also moved to this area. Caroline Jane passed away 1876-1877; however, we have not yet found a grave marker. Ezekiel married for the 3rd time to Hester Ann "Hattie" "Hettie" Palmer/Parmer Brady Richhart Headley/Headlee Canady. This was at least her 5th marriage but there are some indications that this may have been her 6th marriage. Grimm. Sarah was living with her youngest son "Wesley Collins" family when she died in De Soto, Iowa.
