J.M. Thrasher, 73, of Pampa, died Tuesday, December 5, 1995. Services were held Friday afternoon in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel. The Rev. Gene Allen, retired pastor of Briarwood Church, officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Thrasher was born in Amarillo and later lived in Canadian. He moved to Pampa in 1968. He married Mildred Chaffin in 1948 in Pampa. He worked for the Santa Fe Railway as a utility clerk for 43 years, retiring in 1982. He was a veteran, having served with the Navy in World War II. He is survived by his wife; a son, Kennith Thrasher of Canadian, a daughters, Kay Bowers of Pampa; two brothers, Bobby Thrasher and Harold Thrasher, both of Pampa, and eight grandchildren.
