Bio
Hazel Marie Etheredge passed away on July 26, 2015 in Willis, Texas at the age of 91. She was born on May 12, 1924 in Caldwell, Texas to the union of Ledbetter Huddleston and Annie Gilley Huddleston. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents; all three of her siblings, 2 brothers Jack and Hud Huddleston; and 1 sister Elsie Stewart. She is also preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Joseph Franklin Etheredge. She is survived by 2 children, son, Bill Etheredge and his wife Carolyn, and daughter, Tandy Frank; as well as 2 grandchildren, Amanda Etheredge and Misti Etheredge. Hazel and Joseph moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1946 and Joseph helped to build Shell Chemical in Deer Park, Texas. Hazel loved cooking, and she enjoyed traveling with the "Rovin Gypsies" and camping in different RV Parks. She was a member of the old Southmore Baptist Church in Pasadena, and also attended First Baptist Church Pasadena. Hazel also enjoyed working at South Houston High School in the nutrition department. She touched many lives, and will be missed by her family. The family will receive friends for visitation at Grand View Funeral Home on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm, with funeral services to begin at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
