Bio
Norma Jean Zlomke, 60, of Grand Island, died Sunday, October 27, 2002 at Beverly Health Care at Lakeview. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2002 at the Kleine Funeral Home Chapel with Captain Al Simmert officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday. Burial will be in the Sutton City Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Friday. Memorials are suggested to the family. Norma was born December 11, 1941 at Sutton, Nebr. the daughter of Raymond and Ramona (Carlson) Hurst. She received her education at Sutton, graduating from Sutton High School in 1959. On September 6, 1959 she married Richard Webb at Sutton, Nebr. After moving to Grand Island she worked at the Ordinance Plant, Delicious Foods, Fonner Park and Monforts. She married Dean Zlomke on May 11, 1972 in Grand Island Mr. Zlomke died in 1974. Norma was a 23-year member of AA. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She had been a member of the Sutton Federated Church in Sutton, Nebr. and attended Trinity United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Salvation Army Home League and a 12-year volunteer for the Salvation Army. She was also a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Norma is survived by 4 daughters: Brenda (Mrs. Mauro) Sanchez of Lincoln, Nebr. Teresa Teri (Mrs. Sam) Laine of Hamilton, MT. Connie Smith (Mrs. Dave) of Bakersfield, CA. Stacy (Mrs. Randy) Fieldgrove of Scotia, Nebr. 8 Grandchildren 2 Sisters: Donna Bond of Hastings, Nebr. Janelle (Mrs. Harold) Ham of Hastings, Nebr. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Dean.
