Mr. Roy Lee McKenzie, age 51, a resident of Wickes, Arkansas died Sunday, April 13, 2008 in the De Queen Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1956 in De Queen to Alvin and Estelle Darity McKenzie. He was a U.S. Marine. Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Denise McKenzie of Vandervoort, Arkansas; a daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Larry Pennington of Wickes, Arkansas; three brothers, Alvin McKenzie and Melton McKenzie both of Grannis, Arkansas and Robert Petty of Alma, Arkansas; four sisters, Micki McKenzie of Wickes, Jackie Noey, Radonna Brandon and Ola Comer all of De Queen; nine grandchildren, Lane, Keenan, Brenna, Dalton, Kailyn, Aiden, Caleb, Rachel and Brooklyn; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. McKenzie will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in the Millcreek Cemetery in Gillham with Rev. Don Alexander officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
