She was the daughter of the late Joe and Cora Buelah(Wright)Hood and the wife of the late Cordell Newport.Survivors:a son,Charles,and wife Ann.a daughter,Jean N.and husband, Billy Gene Phillips, Reedley,,Calif.,four grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
