Donald Hubert Johnson, 88, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 in Cleveland, Texas. He was born August 1, 1926, in Daisetta, Texas, to William Perkins and Gladys Holland Johnson. Services were held April 30, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial followed in Cleveland City Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Furguson Johnson, his father,William Perkins Johnson, Sr, his mother, Gladys Holland Johnson, and his brother, William Perkins (W.P.) Johnson, Jr. Donald Johnson served in the Navy during World War II. He was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Cleveland. He was always known as a hard worker and was given the nickname "Sang" because he was often heard singing as he worked. His words of wisdom and kindness will be missed by many relatives and friends. He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, five grandchildren and their spouses,and twelve great-grandchildren.
