Tx., with his family in 1863, from Neshoba Co., Ms. and settled in Dresden. He was a farmer and a leader in the Powell Church of Christ. The Warren family also lived in Bazette, Alma and then settled in the DeArman community near Powell in 1896. Their son, William Henry, was the president of the Corsicana Deep Well Company which drilled the Discovery Well of the Powell Oil field.
